Secure Our Borders Now
The Replublicans have signs advertising that they will close the borders here in Arizona. The candidate for Governor has blamed everything from the dropout rate to the crime rate on illegal aliens - more specifically, the “failure” of our governor to “secure our borders”. This is a job for the Federal government to secure the Federal border. My question is, “why after all this time in office are you only now concerned with the border?” Repulicans have held the highest positions in the country for at least six years. It has been five years since the event that “changed everything”. Why should we believe you when you say now you want to secure the borders? You have had six years to do it if it really was an issue for you.
I haven’t understood this one at all. Now with the “fence” that will be built, it will all be better, right? A fence. Yeah, that’ll do it. If we put a fence, we need a DMZ on both sides and patrols by armed military with the authority to shoot anyone in that DMZ. Wait! That sounds a bit familiar!

Actually, the fence that was built/reinforced in California was done to push imigrants into the desert which was supposed to be so inhospitible as to be its own deterent. This according to a Frontline broadcast.
